OVERVIEW:
       
Electromagnetic flow meter can be used to measure the volume flow of conductive fluid in a closed pipeline. It is widely applied in the flow measurement and control in the fields of chemical and petroleum industry, metallurgy industry, water and waste water, agriculture and irrigation, paper making, food and beverage industry and pharmaceutical industry.
OPERATING PRINCPLE:
     
The measuring principle of electromagnetic flowmeter is based on the electromagnetic induction law of Farady. The sensor is mainly composed of measuring tube with isolate lining, a pair of electrodes installed by penetration of the measuring tube wall, a pair of coils and iron core to produce working magnetic field. When the conductive fluid flows through the measuring tube of the sensor, the voltage signal in direct proportion to the average flow velocity of the fluid will be inducted on the electrodes. The signal is amplified and treated by the transmitter to realize various display functions.

Electrode Material Application
SUS316L Applicable in water, sewage and low corrosive medium;
Widely used in industries of petrol, chemistry, carbamide etc.
Hastelloy B Having strong resistance to hydrochloric acid of any consistence which is below boiling point.
Resistable against vitriol,phosphate, hydrofluoricacid, organic acid etc which are oxidable acid, alkali and non-oxidable salt.
Hastelloy C Be resistant to oxidable acid such as nitric acid, mixed acid as well as oxidable salt such as Fe+++,Cu++ and sea water
Titanium Applicable in seawater, and kinds of chloride, hypochlorite salt, oxidable acid (including fuming nitric acid), organic acid, alkali etc. Not resistant to a pure reducing acid (such as sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid) corrosion. Installation Instructions

     In order to ensure a high measuring accuracy, the flow meter shall be horizontally installed on a horizontal pipeline, and the arrow sign on the flow meter that indicates the flow direction shall be made consistent with the liquid flow direction.<0}{0>,,.<}0{>In case a vertical installation is a must, the liquid shall be made flow from the down to top, so that the body of the flow meter will be ensured full of liquid.
     
To eliminate influences of the measuring accuracy resulting from uneven flow velocity distribution of cross section inside a pipeline, both the upperstream and the downstream of the flow meter shall be installed with definite straight lengths, or be installed with flow straighteners to substitute some straight lengths.
